This week, the Madrid Region Government of Spain launched the third phase of the Environmental Protection Travel Encouragement Project (Programa Move III). The regional government plans to encourage the residents to purchase new energy vehicles and install charging piles through the project, and finally achieve the goals of energy conservation and emission reduction in the Madrid region and green travel. According to statistics from the Madrid Region Environment Agency, the Madrid Region successfully reduced 4700 tons of carbon dioxide emissions through the first and second phases of the new energy vehicle purchase subsidy project.
The Madrid region government will invest a total budget of 53 million euros. Residents of the Madrid region who purchase new energy vehicles or install charging piles can receive a subsidy of up to 9,000 euros.
According to the introduction of the Madrid Region Government, all enterprises, individuals and private owners can apply for subsidies for car purchase or installation of charging piles from the regional government through the official website of the "Phase 3 Environmental Travel Project" before December 31, 2023.
The subsidy program is divided into two parallel projects-the purchase of new energy vehicles and the installation of charging piles. Among them, the regional government will invest a total of 37 million euros in the new energy vehicle purchase subsidy that is most in line with the majority of Madrid residents. Every natural person in the Madrid Region who chooses to purchase new energy electric vehicles can receive a subsidy of 4,500 euros. If the purchaser also chooses to scrap an old car over 7 years old, the subsidy amount will increase to 7000 euros. In addition, if the car buyer is a disabled person or a taxi or online car driver, or a town with a registered residence address of less than 5,000 people, the amount of subsidy will continue to increase, up to 9,000 euros.
In addition to subsidies for car purchase and installation of charging piles, the Madrid Region has also introduced a series of other incentive measures in order to reduce the use of fuel vehicles-citizens can enjoy a certain amount of subsidies if they buy electric scooters, electric bicycles, and electric motorcycles; if citizens are scrapped Old cars over 10 years old will be able to get a one-time voucher of 1,200 euros for shared electric vehicles.
